Fire Chief's Message

Welcome to the Brighton Fire Rescue District!

On behalf of the men and women serving you daily, I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit our website.  I hope our website provides you with the opportunity to learn about the organization and to understand the services that we provide to our community.

Our District staff enrich our 132-year history of Brighton Fire, and we have grown to meet the many challenges the community faces. Our history page shows our evolution from a solely volunteer to full-time paid organization.

In a year, we respond to over 6,000 emergency incidents, fires, medical calls, hazardous materials, technical rescues service calls, car accidents, and other requests for service.  Through our public and safety education programs and fire prevention services, we interact with thousands of residents.

As we move forward in 2021, our goal is to continue strengthening our community partnerships (Platte Valley Ambulance Service, Brighton Police Department, Adams County Sheriff’s Office, etc.), while continuing to provide the highest quality of service and safety to those we serve.

2020 was a challenging year due to COVID, however the men and women on the front line continued to serve without hesitation.  Throughout COVID, we made transitions to our delivery model, but answered all calls for service without question.  As we have moved into 2021, we are continuing to move forward on our projects and programs to support the increasing demand of the community.  We strive to continue to operate an effective and efficient operation from our 5 strategically located facilities throughout the District.

It is my honor to be supporting the men and women of the Brighton Fire Rescue District and I am proud to serve as your Interim Fire Chief. I consider myself fortunate to work the most caring, well-trained, professional, and enthusiastic team who have made a commitment to serve.

Again, thank you for visiting our webpage; we welcome your comments and look forward to serving you!

Respectfully,
Interim Fire Chief Ryan Roberts
